Vicky is a Clinical Psychologist who is a Registered Practitioner with the Health and Care Professionals Council. Vicky has been qualified for 15 years and has worked in a range of mental health settings. This includes having worked for a Community Mental Health Team with adults with severe and enduring mental health difficulties as well as working for a Community Forensic Teams with adults with Learning Disabilities. Vicky currently works for the NHS, being seconded to the Local Authority to Work for a Young Offenders Service.
Vicky’s experience has resulted in her taking a lead on managing and formulating risk with both young and adult offenders who live in the community. Hence, Vicky has specialised in providing evidence-based assessments and interventions to adult and young offenders who have mental health problems, a learning disability, and/or neurodiversity (ADHD and /or Autism). This includes, but is not limited to sex offending, and violent risk, as well as managing a variety of complex mental health conditions. A particular strength of Vicky’s is being able to formulate and to manage client’s risk whilst they are living in the community.
Vicky is trained in a range of risk assessments for both adult and young offenders, including the IPDE and PCL-R. Vicky is also trained to diagnose ADHD with adults and is qualified in delivering EMDR (Eye Movement Densentisation Reprocessing).
Vicky has experience of having completed assessments for criminal and family courts as well as for parole board hearings and for the court of protection. Vicky has also completed assessment for extraditions hearings as well as with victims of trafficking/modern slavery. Assessments include cognitive, capacity, neuropsychological assessments as well as assessment of mental health, risk assessments, including assessment of personality (IPDE) and psychopathy (PCL-R) and pre and post sentence reports.
