Srikanth is a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist and Professor of Psychological Medicine at the International Institute of Organisational Psychological Medicine as well as having membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and the Faculty of Forensic and Legal Medicine at the Royal College of Physicians.
Currently Srikanth works as a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist and Medical Director at Cheswold Park Hospital in Doncaster where he is responsible for inpatients at a medium and low secure hospital. He has a large amount of experience preparing medico-legal reports and has been doing so since 2003 to the highest ethical and professional industry standards in accordance with Civil and Criminal Procedure Rules. As well as this, his expertise lies in both civil and criminal fields covering a wide variety of areas including capacity assessments, independent psychiatric reports, asylum/immigration cases and fitness to practise hearings.
Areas of special interest for Srikanth include the assessment and treatment of mental disorders particularly PTSD, psychiatric sequelae of head injury, affective disorders, anxiety, OCD, alcohol and drug dependence, mentally disordered offenders, psychopharmacology, female difficulties relating to psychiatry, medical ethics as well as health care and mental health law.
