Seona Thackeray

Seona is an experienced Health and Care Professions Council Registered Psychologist (Forensic), gaining Chartered status with the British Psychological Society (BPS) in 2011.

Seona previously worked for Greater Manchester West Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, where she was involved in delivering a pathway of services specifically for women with personality problems at HMP New Hall. Prior to this, Seona worked for HM Prison Service in high secure prisons delivering interventions and undertaking risk assessments with high risk violent and sexual offenders. Most recently as an independent practitioner, Seona has been commissioned to undertake psychological assessments of risk, capacity and need in prisoners and offer expert advice and opinion to assist with decisions relating to risk management and treatment pathways. She is regularly commissioned to undertake assessments of personality disorder and make recommendations regarding appropriate treatment pathways. Seona is able to undertake assessments for criminal proceedings including pre-sentence reports and post-sentence reports as well as assessments for civil proceedings, including parenting assessments for family proceedings.
