Rachel is a Consultant Forensic Psychologist who is Chartered with the British Psychological Society and is a Registered Practitioner with the Health and Care Professions Council. Rachel has been qualified for 13 years. She worked in prisons for 15 years, where she gained experience in working with male, female and adolescent offenders. She gained experience within all security categories from high security through to open prison conditions. Her experience has enabled her to specialise in the assessment, management and treatment of violent offenders within the criminal justice system. She has particular expertise in working in therapeutic communities.
Rachel is trained to administer a number of risk assessments and personality assessments, including PCL-R. She has extensive experience of prison service accredited programmes including Thinking Skills Programme, Resolve, Building Better Relationships and the Self-Change Programme. She has received training in psychodrama techniques, schema therapy and using CBT with post-traumatic stress disorder along with Therapeutic Community Accredited Training. Rachel is able to undertake assessments for criminal proceedings including pre-sentence reports, post-sentence reports and risk assessments for the purposes of parole.
