Nicola Harris

Nicola is a forensic psychologist who is chartered with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She is currently employed as a Senior Forensic Psychologist within the specialist education sector. Within this role she provides assessment and intervention to children and young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. Nicola has extensive experience of working in secure settings. She was previously employed for HM Prison Service for over sixteen years, working in a range of settings including the Long Term High Secure Estate, Category C establishments and the open estate. She has worked with both determinate and indeterminate sentence offenders, and with a range of offence types, including sexual offences, general violence, intimate partner violence and gang/group related offending.

She is trained and experienced in a range of psychological assessment tools, including risk assessments (HCR-20, SARA, RSVP, SVR-20, SAVRY, SRP), personality assessments (PCL-R, IPDE) and assessments of cognitive functioning (WAIS-IV, WISC-V). She has extensive experience of completing psychological assessments and providing oral evidence during Parole Board Hearings. Nicola has also compiled reports and provided expert testimony within the Family Court.
