Margaret is an experienced Health and Care Professions Council Registered Psychologist (Forensic), gaining Chartered status with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and full membership of the Division of Forensic Psychology (DFP) in 2003.
Margaret has held the position of Joint Regional Psychologist for Wales, Priory Healthcare and Partnerships in Care since 2011, having responsibilities for psychological services in 3 psychiatric hospitals and step-down units in Wales. She has had experience in both Prison and Psychiatric Mental Health Services and has worked extensively with male and female offenders. She specialises in the assessment, management and treatment of Medium and High Risk men and women in Criminal Justice Service and Mental Health settings. She is experienced in the use of several assessment tools used within the field, particularly in the assessment of risk, in relation to sexual and violent offenders.
Margaret is also an accredited therapist in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). She is able to undertake assessments for prison and criminal proceedings including parole reports, pre-sentence reports and post-sentence reports as well as assessments for civil proceedings, including parenting assessments for family proceedings.
