Emma is a Consultant Forensic Psychologist who is Chartered with the British Psychological Society and is a Registered Practitioner with the Health and Care Professions Council.
Emma has been working as a Forensic Psychologist for 20 years. As an independent consultant, Emma has worked in a range of secure forensic settings including HM prisons and male and female medium and low secure psychiatric services. Emma has 20 years’ experience in completing risk assessments with clients with complex mental disorder and/or forensic histories. She has undertaken formulation of clients’ risks and made recommendations for risk management/therapeutic interventions. As well as risk assessments Emma has previously been involved in delivering a range of psychological therapies to male and female clients including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy; schema informed therapy; and cognitive behavioural therapy for risk behaviour including: violence and anger; sexual violence; substance misuse; self-harm; suicide attempts; and relationship difficulties.
Emma is able to undertake assessments for criminal proceedings including pre-sentence reports and post-sentence reports as well as assessments for civil proceedings, including parenting assessments for family proceedings.
