Dr Elizabeth Barkham

Elizabeth is a Forensic Psychologist who is Chartered with the British Psychological Society and is a Registered Practitioner with the Health and Care Professions Council.

Elizabeth has been qualified for 3 years and has worked in a range of forensic settings including HM Prison Service and independent health care, where she is currently employed as a Forensic Psychologist. Elizabeth’s experience has enabled her to specialise in the assessment, management and treatment of individuals in criminal justice and mental health settings, including the development and implementation of treatment interventions. She has particular expertise in assessing for Autism Spectrum Conditions and deficits in cognitive function, and adapting treatment interventions (offending and mental health related) to support the presence of such deficits.

Elizabeth has significant experience of writing risk assessment reports, progress reports for patients under the Mental Health Act (1983) and treatment reports following individual or group interventions. She is trained to administer a number of risk assessments and personality assessments, including PCL-R. Elizabeth is able to undertake assessments for criminal proceedings including pre-sentence reports, post-sentence reports and risk assessments for the purposes of parole.
