Dr Daniel Lawrence

Daniel is a Forensic Psychologist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and has been working with forensic service users for over 14 years. He has experience of working with individuals in secure mental health settings, prisons and in the community. He has many years’ experience of writing psychological reports and risk assessments to inform legal proceedings including Mental Health Review Tribunals, Parole Board Hearings, and Criminal and Family Courts. Daniel is currently employed as a Practitioner Forensic Psychologist within the Wales Offender Personality Disorder Pathway service.

In this role he provides support for those supervising complex and high-risk individuals in the community.Daniel also has an interest in research and has a PhD in forensic psychology. He is a Senior Lecturer at Cardiff Metropolitan University, where he contributes to post-graduate psychology programmes. His research interests broadly relate to improving the experience of people in contact with forensic services.
